Addie Cohalan is an artist and illustrator based in Perth, Western Australia. Drawing inspiration from gardens and the wilderness, her detailed works intend to capture the intricacies and beauty found within the natural world. Addie often finds herself getting lost in detail, whether that be the repetitive pattern of a birds plumage or the reflections found on a beetle’s carapace.

Addie’s work is influenced by a love of natural history and scientific illustration. Addie has always been drawn to both art and science, and has both a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and Science (Zoology), and a Masters degree in Biological Arts.

Addie works from her home studio in Perth. Her unique illustration style is created predominately through the layering of watercolour paint and graphite pencil.
